This was a long day of driving on dirt track and the dust was a real issue, especially if you were driving into the wind. Some of us decided that the only way to make this manageable was to hang back half a mile from the vehicle in front. However, the views were stunning. Sometimes there were a few trees,
And sometimes there was just a lot of sand.
Even driving across rivers wasn't a lot different as the last heavy rain was about 9 years ago.
But where there is a water source - even just a regular dew from the sea air coming in, there are birds like the Weaver Bird which are difficult to miss.
